I'm going to look at Pinball FX2, the tables look pretty weird and whacky, but might be a novelty. That's cool, Lazarus was wondering if it wold work with his real DMD, there's the answer. I'm with Lazarus - where did you get hold of it? ) I'm inclined to believe it would do the same for TPA. I've been able to get PFX2 to output to a PIN2DMD display using DMDExt and it does the job nicely. You are on the money with getting PinballX to display the backglass and for the DMD, there is a utility called DMDExt which routes the DMD data to either a monitor or a DMD display. Still, I agree that the tables very nice and play accurately and, most importantly, they have very good physics to them!!! I don't know what version of DX it uses, pretty sure it wasn't DX11 though. I found a doctored version a while back but it doesn't support the plug-in that enables cabinet mode. maybe a Pinball Arcade tournament for the next VPL ? the added bonus to that would be everyone could play on whatever device they wanted, pc, tablet, phone. (if you are using PinballX, you can configure a backglass to load via the list manager to get that look.) I've read there are other hacks for PA to run DMD as a seperate skids. Has anyone else tried the DX11 version in their Pincab ? The fact PA doesn't natively support 2nd/3rd display isn't an issue when the tables look and play this great. The realism, depth and lighting for pretty much every table I looked at surpasses Visual Pinball, even VPX versions - but it has a decent nudge, so that means better-than-vpx, for me anyway.

Not sure what kind of card you need for the DX11 tables, i'm using a 970gtx and everything set to maximum and things run very smoothly and tables look amazing at full screen on my 40" playfield. Stern might make great pinball tables but they are not that bright.I've just installed the DX11 version of The Pinball Arcade into my Pincab, and I'm gobsmacked :o It's like saying no one will buy a mustang because they have one in Grand Tourismo.

Allowing pinball Arcade to recreate their tables with Cabinet support is just free advertising plus revenue sharing for Stern. Even virtual pinball enthusiasts would rather have the real thing. if they went the Zaccaria route they would have sold more tables.Īlso if Stern thinks they would loose sales because people would just p[lay the virtual version instead of the real thing they're idiots. Yes, they lost the Williams licence but they still have Gottlieb rights.

Also unlike Visual Pinball your highscore actually goes somewhere, a leader board. Sure they are recreations of lesser known European pinball tables from the 70s and 80s, but they are challenging and fun.

Cabinet mode is just an option in game and VR is a mere DLC not an entirely new game.

Zaccaria Pinball IMO is the best overall virtual pinball experience. Not to mention Ghostbusters premium does not allow a backglass, even if you pay for cabinet mode.

i just don't get why they think there cabinet code is worth $150 when FX3 cabinet code is 100% and FX3 haves way better pinball games pinball arcade haves. Originally posted by funtyes1970:i never spend that kind of money for a cabinet code and most them games are on VPX anyways and it 100% free.
